Imagined through the haze while the Beatles were playing 'Sparks Across Darkness' was born. After completing his Bachelor's in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University 'Sparks' (aka Anthony Giovanini) moved back to his home town of Sacramento, California. While honing his craft at local venues he often spearheaded shows and booked traveling artists. His endeavors allowed him to share the stage with fellow contemporaries milo, Serengeti, Chuuwee, Billy Woods, Cage, Blueprint and DJ Abilities (of Eyedea & Abilities). Word of his stage performances and eclectic show bills caught attention from press and artists alike. On August 18th 2018 he self released his debut album Obscura which featured many talented Northern California grown artists. Stand out tracks include the collaboration track with Hobo Johnson "No Toast" , "Nice to Meet You" produced by Ben Chisholm of Chelsea Wolfe's band, "Machine" featuring his longtime collaborator TIP Vicious and "Phoenix" produced by emune.
